Places where outdoor nudity is designated, explicitly permitted, clothing-optional, or part of a clearly documented bathing setting. This is not a blanket guide to public nudity: every listing is tied to a specific place and its current rules.
Use only the designated area or bathing facility described by the source. Re-check local signage, access conditions and etiquette before undressing.

Japan is separated from the beach/naturist model: outdoor onsen and wild bathing records are included only where official tourism information supports the setting.
Hirauchi Kaichu Onsen
A tidal seaside hot spring on Yakushima. JNTO describes it as mixed bathing and explicitly says bathers go in nude; access is limited to the period around low tide.
Mizunashi Kaihin Hot Spring
A natural seaside open-air bath that appears for a few hours around low tide. Hokkaido's official tourism site lists separate changing rooms and directs visitors to Hakodate City's tide schedule.
Fukiage Open-Air Hot Spring
A 24-hour mountain open-air hot spring on Mt. Tokachi. The official Hokkaido guide notes only a simple changing area and recommends swimsuits or a towel wrap for female visitors.
Kotan no Yu
A lakeside open-air hot spring by Lake Kussharo. The official tourism guide says the men's and women's sides are divided by large rocks and that swimsuits or towel wraps are also allowed.
Ike-no-Yu
A quiet lakeside mixed open-air hot spring with simple separate changing rooms, listed by Hokkaido's official tourism site.
Wakoto Hot Spring
A mixed-gender crescent-shaped open-air bath at the base of Wakoto Peninsula. The official guide recommends swimwear because the area can be busy with tourists.
Kuma-no-Yu
A free open-air hot spring beside the Rausu River. The official Hokkaido guide says men's and women's baths and changing areas are separated; the women’s side has additional screening.
Nakadake Hot Spring
A wild mountain hot spring reached on foot. Hokkaido's official tourism site explicitly states that bathers can enter completely naked, although nudity is not mandatory.
Saki-no-Yu
An ocean-facing open-air onsen in Shirahama, highlighted by JNTO for its Pacific views and sea spray. Standard Japanese onsen bathing etiquette applies unless the facility posts otherwise.
Hottarakashi Onsen
A panoramic open-air onsen overlooking the Kofu basin and Mt. Fuji. It is an onsen environment rather than an unrestricted public-nudity area.
Gunnison Beach — Sandy Hook
A signed clothing-optional area at Sandy Hook. The National Park Service identifies Gunnison Beach as clothing optional and warns that nudity outside the signed area may be treated differently.
Haulover Park Clothing Optional Beach
Miami-Dade County designates the northern one-third of Haulover Beach, between lifeguard towers 12 and 16, as clothing optional.
Wreck Beach — Pacific Spirit Regional Park
Metro Vancouver states that the Pacific Spirit foreshore beach is clothing optional except at Acadia Beach.
Schönfeldwiese — English Garden FKK Area
Munich's official city site identifies Schönfeldwiese in the English Garden as a nudist area.
Munich Isar Designated FKK Zones
Munich's official city guidance says six official nude-bathing areas are designated along the Isar and in the English Garden; nudity is not permitted everywhere outside those zones.
Krumme Lanke FKK Bathing Area
Berlin's official tourism site says the meadow by Fischerhüttenstraße at Krumme Lanke can be used for FKK bathing.
Kiessee Schildow Nudist Area
Berlin's official tourism portal describes Kiessee Schildow as having a large nudist area alongside regular swimming facilities.
Morfa Dyffryn Naturist Beach
Natural Resources Wales states that part of Morfa Dyffryn National Nature Reserve is a designated naturist beach and is signed accordingly.
Mar Bella Beach Nudist Area
Barcelona's official tourism site describes Mar Bella as an urban beach with a nudist area and an inclusive public atmosphere.
Nova Mar Bella Beach
Barcelona's official tourism portal describes Nova Mar Bella as a nudist beach where many visitors also choose to wear swimsuits.
Praia do Salto
Portugal's official tourism portal says Praia do Salto has been an officially recognised naturist beach since 2002.
Bela Vista Naturist Beach
Turismo de Portugal identifies Bela Vista as the first beach in Portugal purpose-dedicated as a naturist beach.
Praia do Vale dos Homens
Portugal's official tourism portal describes this quieter Algarve beach as popular with both surfers and naturists.
Praia dos Alteirinhos
Turismo de Portugal notes that several isolated coves at Praia dos Alteirinhos are often used by naturists.
Armands Beach
Destination NSW describes Armands Beach as the Sapphire Coast's clothes-optional beach and says it was legally declared for nude bathing.
Werrong Beach
Destination NSW describes Werrong Beach as a designated nude beach reached via the Werrong Beach Track.

Destination NSW identifies Samurai Beach as a designated nude bathing spot next to the campground.
